Identity Management Catalogs

Gateway’s Identity Management Catalogs allow you to organize identity stores (such as Active Directory or PeopleSoft) in self-described categories, such as “Human Resources”, “Finance”, or “Chicago Office” for example. The three-dimensional navigation, prevalent throughout the Gateway’s management console, allows for intuitive and simple navigation of your assets.

Adding an Identity Store

Telling the Gateway about a new identity store that you wish for it to manage, such as an LDAP directory or database, is simple. User-friendly wizards will assist you in supplying the right information and adding the store within minutes.

Identity Store Workflows

Once an identity store has been added to the Gateway, you’ll have the ability to govern how the Identity Management services interact with that store. Simple wizards will guide you through putting powerful workflows in place that tell the Gateway how to pass information to and/or from the identity store, including automatic schema discovery with point-and-click attribute mapping, provisioning policies, approval rules, and more.

3D or 2D Navigation

The Gateway’s management console allows users to interact in an intuitive 3D landscape, while allowing users to optionally select a 2D view when so desired.

Identity Management Dashboard

The Gateway’s Identity Management Dashboard provides a bird’s eye view of your entire identity ecosystem. Within a single dashboard, the health and status of each identity store and the system as a whole is visually displayed, giving you the ability to drill down for more details on anything that may require attention.

Identity and Account Management

Managing identity profiles and associated accounts is a breeze. Simple or advanced search filters will recall users within the system, allowing you to drill into user profiles with only a few mouse clicks.

User Creation and Editing

Simple menus allow you to add or edit users on the Gateway. Administratively adding an account, disabling a user, inspecting extended attributes about a user, or correcting information is simple. Not only will the change take place immediately, but your Gateway Identity Provisioning policies can automatically synchronize the changes in near real-time to all other appropriate identity stores, or via Dynamic Provisioning Policies determine automatically whether a user should be included or excluded from particular Roles in the system.

Policy Creation and Editing

Creating and editing policies on the Gateway couldn’t be easier! Policies for authentication, authorization, auditing, and identity management are largely all point-and-click based, requiring little or no technical experience. As seen here, a few mouse clicks will allow you to specify policies such as password length and age restrictions or even what time of day users may be allowed to login to certain resources. Policies are enforced instantaneously and require no coding or application changes!

Protected Resource Navigation

Navigating through the resources that the Gateway is protecting for you, such as web servers and applications, is simple with the Gateway’s innovative 3D navigation. Like walking through your datacenter, you’ll virtually interact with application servers, allowing you to drill-in to any of them, and simply drop policies (such as authorization rules) where you like… no coding, no hassle, and instantly enforced.

Adding or Modifying Protected Resources

Have a new portal or application that needs to be protected via the Gateway? No problem – simple wizards allow you to add and connect the new application to the Gateway in a matter of minutes. Again, there’s no coding and the application is literally “live” within the Gateway on your command.

Self Service Application Setup

User Self Service applications, like Registration and Password Reset, are paramount to any Identity and Access Management environment. The Gateway’s fully-integrated Self Service applications require no coding and can be configured in 5 minutes or less. Branding, look-and-feel, and behavior are fully customizable with point-and-click actions via simple step-by-step wizards.

Self Registration Configuration

Advanced options within the Gateway’s fully-integrated Self Registration application allows you to dictate what data is collected from users during registration, constraints on their responses, if validation of their answers is required on any field, approval processes, and more! The best part is that it’s all accomplished without any technical expertise or custom application development.

Identity and Account Approvals

While the Gateway is fully capable of automating approvals of new accounts per your policies and identity validation, there may be circumstances where you desire, or corporate policy dictates, to have a human involved in the process. All identity provisioning requests, whether for a new account or simply provisioning between identity stores, can be configured, per policy, to allow the system to wait on human approvals before proceeding.
